Global Security Institute
searchable documentS libraryWELCOME TO THE GSI LIBRARY
The Global Security Institute was founded in 1993 [get correct year] by Senator Alan Cranston, who firmly believed that nuclear weapons are impractical, unacceptably risky, and unworthy of civilization. He was joined by advisor and former President of the Soviet Union Mikail Gorbachev, and current GSI President Jonathan Granoff [get correct wording — and others?].
In the years since its inception, GSI has developed an exceptional team that includes former heads of state and government, distinguished diplomats, effective politicians, committed celebrities, religious leaders, Nobel Peace Laureates, disarmament and legal experts, and other notables.
The documents of the Global Security Institute comprise a three-decade history of these luminaries in the world of nuclear disarmament — their words, their actions and their results. We have consolidated these works, videos and activities into a searchable library to make them more accessible.
We hope you find this valuable and useful.
